Pako Browser Privacy Policy

The short version

Your shortcuts, wallpaper, history and preferences live only in this browser — on your device. Pako does not upload your browsing data to Niguro or anywhere else. What stays private stays private.

What Pako stores on your device

Pako keeps the following data locally on your computer, in its own profile folder:

• Shortcuts you add or remove on the new tab page
• Wallpaper and appearance preferences (theme, accent colour)
• Browsing history, bookmarks and downloads — used to power your omnibox suggestions and pages
• Search history and recent searches on the new tab page
• Saved passwords (if you choose to save them) — encrypted and stored only on your device
• Settings such as your homepage, startup page, search engines and blocker preferences

All of this can be cleared or reset at any time from Pako Settings, or removed entirely by uninstalling the browser.

What Pako does NOT collect

• No telemetry, analytics or crash reports are sent to Niguro
• No advertising identifiers or tracking cookies are added by Pako itself
• Your browsing history is never uploaded, synced or shared
• Pako has no advertising network and no paid data-sharing partners

Incognito windows

Incognito windows use a completely separate, temporary profile. Browsing history, cookies and site data from an incognito window are deleted when the window closes, and are never written to your normal profile.

When data does leave your device

Like any browser, Pako connects directly to the websites you visit and the search engines you use. For example:

• When you search, your query goes to the search engine you chose (Niguro by default)
• Websites you visit may collect data about you, governed by their own privacy policies
• If you sign in with your Niguro account, the sign-in is handled by niguro.com under the Niguro privacy policy

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the sites you visit. Pako's built-in ad and tracker blocking can help limit third-party tracking — you control it in Settings.

Updates

We may update this policy as Pako evolves. We'll note the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
